Abstract

Respiratory care practice is changing. In this article, we'll discuss changes in how we humidify the gases delivered to patients via mechanical ventilation and the use of continuous broncho-dilator nebulization. We'll also examine how arterial and pulse oximetry oxygen saturation measurements differ and how these differences can affect their reliability.
