Abstract

I work part-time as an emergency medical technician and am often called to the scene of fatal automobile crashes. When I pass the area a few days later, I sometimes see flowers, photos, and mementos at the site. seems odd to place mementos at the scene of death. Why don't mourners place these items at the grave instead?
