Abstract

The endothelin receptor blocker bosentan (Tracleer) is used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension. After splitting a bosentan tablet, a pregnant nurse learned that the drug is in Category X, the highest pregnancy risk category, and became concerned that her contact with it could harm her fetus.
