The American Business Awards program honors outstanding performances in the workplace. More than 1500 entries were submitted for consideration for one of the more than 40 Stevie Awards. It has awarded more than 18,500 CE/CME credits to health care practitioners since it was launched in 2005.

Coloplast Launches Educational Program

Coloplast, Atlanta, GA, has launched an award-winning, accredited modular educational program titled, "Skin the Vital Organ." The program is designed to train, empower, and develop specific skin health competencies for health care practitioners to provide a framework for applying best practices in preventive skin care.

 

"Skin the Vital Organ" was a 2006 award recipient from APEX (Award for Publication Excellence) in the category of Education Training & Electronic Publications. The modular educational program currently consists of Module I: Xerosis, Module II: Incontinence, and Module III: Bariatric Skin Care. A fourth module on Skin & Wound Pain will be released later this year. Each accredited module has 3 levels of instruction, including levels for certified nursing assistants, registered or licensed practical nurses, and advanced practice nurses.
