They monitor developments in medical research and public policy that could expand the use of cord blood. In doing so, they keep families up-to-date on standard and experimental therapies that use cord blood and the diseases treated with cord blood.

The Cord Blood Association (CBA) is an international nonprofit organization that strives to accelerate the use of cord blood to benefit all patients. Anyone may sign up for a membership that connects them with the cord blood community, including cord blood bank personnel, researchers, lab technicians, patients, donors, and healthcare professionals. CBA focuses on advocacy, quality products and services, market expansion, research, and public and professional education on the uses and benefits of cord blood and birthing tissues to advance medicine.

 

Save the Cord Foundation

Established to spread awareness of the life-saving benefits of cord blood, the Save the Cord Foundation offers noncommercial and unbiased source information. Its in-house programs include the development of the online educational tool, NEXT GENERATION: Cord Blood, and an educational series called "Share the Science."
