Abstract

The dietetic profession has experienced considerable changes from its beginning in the late 1800s. Through the years it has progressed from cooking schools to requiring academic coursework and a bachelor's degree. Advances in medical science and technology force our profession to keep pace. The need for competent dietetic professionals and creative staffing is imperative for our survival as the experts in nutrition. Fast forward 50 years. What will be the model for clinical staffing?
