Derma Sciences, Inc, Princeton, NJ, has obtained a licensing agreement with C-Boot LTD, a medical biosystems company based in Israel, for the marketing, sales, and distribution rights of the company's patented therapeutic devices for the treatment of chronic venous insufficiency, venous ulcers, lymphedema, deep vein thrombosis prevention, and other conditions that require compression therapy. C-Boot's products will be marketed under the MOBILITY1 brand.

Rather than a therapy that is predicated on a patient being confined to the home, MOBILITY1 can be activated either by kinetic energy created from the patient walking or by a small, portable compressor (currently under review by the Food and Drug Administration). The device is designed to allow patients to maintain a regular lifestyle, taking therapy wherever they go.
