Army nurses and medics were deployed to provide care to Peruvians in the wake of a massive earthquake. Here, Major Joseph Hallock, ANC, examines a survivor of the magnitude-8 quake that struck Pisco, Peru, and the surrounding region on August 15. Hallock, a pediatric NP assigned to Soto Cano Air Base in Honduras, was part of a humanitarian relief effort mounted by the U.S. Southern Command, based in Florida.
