Abstract
* The ENHANCE trial revealed that ezetimibe-simvastatin (Vytorin) exerted favorable effects on the density of carotid artery plaques comparable to those of simvastatin alone. However, the combination therapy was found to be significantly more effective than the statin alone in lowering levels of LDL cholesterol, triglycerides, and C-reactive protein.
