Roger Tully's photograph on the cover of AJN's November 2009 issue shows two nurses assisting a patient while in ergonomically incorrect positions. In fact, the expression on one's face speaks volumes. The patient's bed should be positioned at its highest level, and the nurses should be flexing their knees to protect their lower backs.

Nurses frequently suffer from musculoskeletal injuries that occur on the job. AJN should be advocating safety.
