ABSTRACT
Federal regulations mandate accurate and frequent assessment of nursing home residents with bladder dysfunction. Guidelines dictate that bladder function be evaluated at the time of admission and periodically thereafter, depending on the resident’s symptoms and conditions. Some staff are still unaware of the condition’s causes and don’t have access to the latest technology to evaluate and manage bladder dysfunction.
