Abstract

Anticoagulants make up a class of drugs with different mechanisms of action that share the common goal of preventing intravascular blood clots and limiting the growth of existing thrombi. Each of these medications interferes with hemostasis and carries a significant risk of bleeding. We provide you with the information you need to care for your patients taking anticoagulants.
