For the last 16 years, I've worked at the same hospital as a per diem medical/surgical nurse. Recently management has been sending me to the telemetry unit because of staffing needs there. Telemetry isn't my area of expertise and I'm not comfortable working in this unit. Management has offered training, but I've been a nurse for over 30 years and don't feel I should be forced into an area where I don't want to work at this point in my career. Do I have any options?
