A patient admitted to a hospital was given a green bracelet, which was the facility's signal to the staff that he had a latex allergy. During his stay, he was transported to an ambulatory diagnostic center where the staff didn't know the bracelet's significance and performed testing with vials and syringes containing latex. The patient had an anaphylactic reaction but responded to medical treatment.
