Focus On: Patient Safety
The Joint Commission's National Patient Safety Goals were established to help create a culture of safety within healthcare institutions. The goals are updated every year by an expert panel which seeks to improve patient safety using the latest evidence-based research. To maintain accreditation with the Joint Commission, compliance with the goals must be demonstrated. For this collection of articles, we've pulled together our best resources on the topics of patient safety, including medication safety, pressure ulcers, healthcare-associated infections, falls, and patient handoffs.
