Maintaining an educated and engaged nursing workforce is a top priority for nurse executives. Finding the resources to accomplish this goal, however, can be a major challenge. With healthcare budgets becoming tighter and tighter, philanthropy and grants are two ways to supplement or pay for activities that can make a substantial difference to staff morale and can support programs to improve patient care.
