How different could it be: transitioning from a hospital based gastrointestinal (GI) nurse to an ambulatory endoscopy center GI nurse? What is transition? Is it to change, or a change-over; an evolution, conversion, to shift, to move, an alteration, a modification? You will see how all these definitions can apply to the day-to-day assignments, environment, support systems, patients, conveniences, accreditation surveys, emergencies, and expanded nursing opportunity roles. Stories of successes and challenges from nurses who have experienced this transition will be shared.
