“Tis a little thing To give a cup of water; yet its draught Of cool refreshment, drain'd by fever'd lips, May give a shock of pleasure to the frame More exquisite than when nectarean juice Renews the life of joy in happiest hours.”
- Author: Sir Thomas Noon Talfourd

Stepping up to a water fountain, opening a can of soda, or pouring a glass of a favorite beverage, may seem effortless to you. For many older adults, a range of complicating factors make what is effortless for you, unlikely or impossible for them.

Learn how to make hydration an integral component of all patient interactions and social activities. This program provides viewers with simple steps you can take to improve hydration among older adults, and reduce many of the associated problems including UTIs and pressure ulcers.

This is the twelfth in a series of 18 Webcasts and is a collaborative effort among the American Journal of Nursing, the Gerontological Society of America (GSA) and Trinity Healthforce Learning, sponsored in part through a grant from Atlantic Philanthropies.
