Accreditation Information
Lippincott Williams & Wilkins (LWW) is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

LWW is also an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses #00012278 (CERP category x), California CEP 11749, District of Columbia, Florida #FBN2454, and Iowa #75. LWW home study activities are classified for Texas nursing continuing education requirements as Type 1. Your certificate is valid in all states.

How the 2007 rules for Continuing Education will affect you.
The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) has revised the calculation of contact hours to be consistent with other health professions including physicians and pharmacists. Beginning in January 2007, a contact hour will be based on 60 minutes for one hour instead of 50 minutes. Continuing nursing education courses that are planned and published after January 1, 2007 will be based on a 60-minute contact hour. All participants of older courses that have been published through December 2006 will receive a certificate that will indicate that the CE credit is based on a 50-minute contact hour. All Lippincott Williams & Wilkins CE certificates will still be accepted for ANCC certification and by all state boards of nursing.
