Abstract

Hand rejuvenation is gaining popularity, as there are now more effective treatments to make the hands appear youthful. Aging hands are usually not discussed in a consultation, but mentioning the idea often prompts the client to ask more questions; they want to hear more about what a hand rejuvenation treatment entails. It can involve a myriad of procedures including topical treatments such as moisturizers, exfoliating creams, and sun protection; light-based devices such as intense pulsed light and broad band light; ablative and nonablative fractionated laser treatments such as Profractional and Fraxel; and dermal injection treatments such as hyaluronic acids and calcium hydroxylapatite. This article briefly presents treatments for hand rejuvenation.
