Abstract

Abstract: Ectopic pregnancy (EP) is a leading cause of maternal morbidity and mortality. Rates of EP have declined, yet ethnic, socioeconomic, and age-related disparities persist. Improved ultrasound resolution, the use of emergency transvaginal ultrasounds, and improved lab sensitivity have enabled earlier diagnosis, which could further improve outcomes for patients with EP.
