AHRQ connects medical injuries with rising health care costs |
| A new study by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) found that medical injuries in U.S. hospitals contribute to more than 30,000 deaths and billions of dollars in added costs. The research, which appeared in the October 8 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association, is the first to provide direct evidence that medical injuries increase health care costs.
