West Virginia CE Requirements for License Renewal

Renewal Requirements

RN
  • Every year
    • 12 hours of continuing education
    • 2 hours related to mental health conditions common to veterans and their families 
    • 1 hour on best prescribing and drug diversion training for those who prescribe, administer or dispense controlled substances
LPN
  • Every year
    • 12 hours of continuing education
    • 2 hours related to mental health conditions common to veterans and their families 
    • 1 hour on best prescribing and drug diversion training for those who prescribe, administer or dispense controlled substances
Advanced Practice 
  • Every 2 years
    • 24 hours of continuing education
      • 12 hours in advanced pharmacology
      • 12 hours in clinical management practice 
  • Every year
    • 2 hours related to mental health conditions common to veterans and their families 
    • 1 hour on best prescribing and drug diversion training for those who prescribe, administer or dispense controlled substances
