As a nurse in the state of Montana, you are required to earn continuing education to renew your active license.

Renewal Requirements

RN

• Every two years
  • 24 hours of continuing education 

LPN 

• Every two years
  • 24 hours of continuing education 

Advanced Practice

• Every two years
  • 24 hours of continuing education 
  • 12 hours in the area of pharmacotherapeutics for APRN with prescriptive authority
