Spring has begun with a vengeance in the District of Columbia area. The passage of Health Care Reform is keeping many in this city busy reading and analyzing this massive piece of legislation. Our next issue will include analysis of the law from the nurse manager's and nurse administrator's perspectives. This issue's CEU feature discusses an evaluation of Unit-Based Ethics Conversations, a program that gives nurses the opportunity for meaningful conversations regarding the ethical issues they face in everyday practice. Our second article asks the question whether good documentation equals good nursing care, explores ethical issues related to documentation, and provides suggestions for how the nurse manager can support ethical decision making regarding nursing documentation.
