Abstract

Injuries and death to adolescents are a significant problem in this country. University of North Carolina Hospitals has successfully used mock crashes in an effort to educate high school students to this problem. A mock crash is a theatrical program performed on a school's campus in which a car crash caused by an intoxicated student driver is staged. The production shows the events that would happen in an actual crash. These programs can be a successful part of a community outreach program.
