We at Lippincott, Williams & Wilkins look forward to beginning our sixth year with the OR Nurse 2012 journal. Over the past 5 years, we've provided education and product information through our printed journal. The feedback from you, our readers, has been positive. Following our mission statement, we continue to find ways to provide you with clinical information in a user-friendly format.

This year, we're following the technologic trend of creating a hybrid between print and digital content. Our website (http://www.ornursejournal.com) now lets you check out the most recent issue, browse archives, and learn more about the journal. This year, we'll begin featuring online-only content, which will supplement the existing OR Nurse eNews that's sent to subscribers once a month. The online content will feature original and insightful articles with the style and quality of print journal content.

Another website enhancement will be arch ived article collections on topics of interest (for example, general surgery), making it easier to find past articles. A link on the website will take you to our renovated Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/OR-Nurse-2011/203597816376172). "Like" us on Facebook, and you'll receive posts on your personal newsfeed about updates in the print journal and website, and general news on the healthcare community. The OR Nurse Facebook wall will be a place to network with other OR nurses and share practice issues and information. You can also talk about our journal articles and quickly access our website through various links on the Facebook page. We'll also connect our Facebook page to other successful nursing journals, so readers can quickly access up-to-date nursing information, and help OR Nurse become a more prominent voice in the nursing and medical publishing community.

As we start our sixth year, we'll be providing more content and faster ways for you to access it, as well as an avenue for networking with colleagues. We look forward to another year and, as always, please keep letting us know how we're doing in meeting your needs.
