Abstract
The AABB has initiated a process to develop evidence-based guidelines for blood transfusion to assist clinicians, other health professionals, and patients in their transfusion decisions. In this article, the author discusses the process of developing the recently published guidelines for plasma transfusion using the GRADE (Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development, and Evaluation) methodology.
