In the article that appeared on page 80 in the March/April 2012 issue of MCN: The American Journal of Maternal/Child Nursing, a picture of a bumper pad in a crib was included. This photo was also included on the cover. The American Academy of Pediatrics' recommendations from October 2011 state that the use of bumper pads or similar products is not recommended because of the potential for suffocation, entrapment, and strangulation (http://pediatrics.aappublications.org/content/128/5/1030.full.html).

 

We regret any confusion the inclusion of this photo may have caused.
