From May 1-4, the 2013 National Conference for Nurse Practitioners (NCNP) will take place at the majestic Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, TN. As one of the most anticipated events in the nurse practitioner (NP) community, the NCNP will be sure to provide benefits for all of its attendees. Using past evaluation results, the conference will offer timely, concurrent sessions, skill-building/hands-on workshops, and a series of informative lectures from distinguished faculty. This is a great opportunity for NPs to interact with the industry's leading experts in primary and acute care, discuss issues related to various specialties, develop clinical skills, evaluate current treatment methods, identify issues that affect advanced practice nurses, and improve overall skill sets.

NCNP allows attendees to network with colleagues while earning continuing education and pharmacology credits. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet with vendors in the exhibit hall as well as present scientific poster abstracts. All sessions will be available after the event in the e-conference center, allowing users to access and earn additional contact hours at their convenience.

In between the numerous activities at the conference, attendees get the added bonus of spending time in Nashville's historic and music-filled downtown scene. Major local attractions include the Frist Center for the Visual Arts, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, the Nashville Zoo, or the Corsair Artisan Distillery to relax. The Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center itself has nine acres of indoor gardens, new restaurants, unique shopping experiences, and a 20,000-square-foot spa and fitness center. The NCNP allows participants to expand their careers and learn valuable information while enjoying themselves during their spare time.

From now until the conference, we will be highlighting events that will be taking place at NCNP to help familiarize attendees with this exciting program. With everything that will be happening, it is recommended that attendees plan a personal agenda to experience all the offerings that appeal to them on an individual level.
