ABSTRACT: Psoriasis is an inflammatory skin condition that is associated with various comorbidities. To the wound care physician, the Koebner phenomenon is of importance, as any superficial trauma can induce psoriasis. Particularly, periwound and joints are particularly susceptible to flare-ups of this condition. This review highlights the epidemiology and treatment of psoriasis.
