Abstract
Nurses have long been known for their compassion and communication with patients. Have accelerated nursing programs supported these nursing practice values? In this department column, the author explores a troubling trend in recent nursing encounters and how one school of nursing is attempting to bring communication back to the forefront of nursing education in the accelerated education programs and beyond.
