In a video interview on the iPad edition of this issue with OT reporter Sarah Maxwell, Jennifer S. Temel, MD, Clinical Director of Thoracic Oncology and Associate Director of the Dana Farber/Partners Cancer Care Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Program, discusses her study showing that anamorelin both stimulated appetite and increased muscle mass in patients with unresectable, advanced non-small-cell lung cancer with muscle-wasting (OT 10/25/14 issue), a significant achievement that can "revolutionize treatment" for these patients, she said. Also adding his perspective is the study's second author, David Currow, BMed, MPH, FRACP, Professor of Palliative and Supportive Services at Flinders University in Australia.
