Abstract
Take a Reality Check: 1.The Nurse IS in the Picture" was an article about home care nurses' role in telemedicine service delivery that appeared more than 1 year ago in HHN. 2. Certainly, the idea that nurses would be displaced by technology was dispelled: telehealth machines that are the best known are merely data collectors, not professional caregivers. 3. Nurses can be more than just a piece of the emerging home telehealth picture. They fulfill a very useful and needed role in creating that picture.
