Carol J. Bush, BS, RN, is Nurse Navigator & Consultant at Midwest Cancer Alliance-University of Kansas Cancer Center. She provides technical assistance to the Midwest Cancer Alliance network of hospitals and cancer centers to support members' care coordination initiatives and program development, including: facilitating navigator mentoring and orientation; promoting emerging navigation and survivorship models; and supporting research and innovation across the Alliance network in clinical prevention, care, survivorship, and value-based initiatives.

She has previously served as Coordinator of the Oncology Nursing Society Nurse Navigator Special Interest Group and an expert reviewer for ONS Competencies for the Oncology Nurse Navigator. She is currently the Virtual Community Manager for the ONS Survivorship Special Interest Group and a member of the Kansas Cancer Partnership Steering Committee.

Anne M. Ireland, MSN, RN, AOCN, CENP, is Nursing Director of the Solid Tumor Program at City of Hope, where she has operational and clinical responsibility over all inpatient and outpatient clinical areas for patients with solid tumor malignancies (four inpatient units, six solid tumor clinics, and the Solid Tumor Infusion Center).

 

Ireland has served as an oncology nurse for more than 30 years, including positions at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Center in Toronto, Canada (10 years) and at University of Vermont Medical Center (20 years), before recently moving to City of Hope. She is a member of ONS and currently serves on the Board of Directors as a Director-at-Large.

Carrie Tompkins Stricker, PhD, RN, AOCN, is Co-Founder and Chief Clinical Officer of On Q Health, Inc., an oncology-focused health information technology company that offers personalized care plans, and is an oncology nurse practitioner at the University of Pennsylvania's Abramson Cancer Center. She has also held an adjunct faculty post in the School of Nursing at the University of Pennsylvania, where she lectures to advanced practice nurses in oncology. In her clinical work and research, Stricker has focused on cancer survivorship care and evidence-based symptom assessment and management, particularly in women with breast cancer.

 

Stricker has previously served as Director of Clinical Programs for Penn's Abramson Cancer Center's Survivorship Center of Excellence (2007-2013), as well as having roles as an outpatient-based nurse practitioner caring for patients with hematologic malignancies and an ambulatory chemotherapy/infusion nurse in other institutions.

At On Q Health, Stricker is responsible for overseeing the clinical development, implementation, and evaluation of the company's software solutions, including electronic patient reported outcomes (ePRO) and care plan technologies. Stricker co-founded the company in 2013 to help overcome gaps in cancer care by delivering innovative technology solutions to cancer clinicians and patients that improve clinical outcomes, decrease symptom burden, and lower health care costs.

 

Joni L. Watson, MBA, MSN, RN, OCN, is Director of the Baylor Scott & White McClinton Cancer Center in Waco, Texas, where she oversees ambulatory, medical, and supportive oncology services. She has served as an oncology nurse for 10 years, including various roles at the bedside, in national education programs, and in community cancer program and service development.

 

Watson is also a member of ONS and is a regular contributor to the ONS Connect Blog. She has served on two ONS Annual Congress planning teams, including as Chair of the 2013 Congress. She is also a member of ONS's "Get Up, Get Moving" National Quality Campaign team. She founded her own blog, Nursetopia.net, which includes posts about leadership, management, and other topics specific to nursing.
