I am thrilled to welcome Dr Katherine Gregory as she assumes the role of neonatal editor for The Journal of Perinatal & Neonatal Nursing (JPNN)! Kate and I have been working together for the past several months, to ensure a smooth transition, and I have been impressed by her observations and ideas. I have complete confidence in her leadership and I am excited for the journal. Kate's energy and expertise will bring opportunities for JPNN to continue to strengthen its position as an impactful resource for neonatal care. As I step away from this role, I again want to thank the neonatal editorial board members and column editors whose expertise and commitment are vital to the journal. Serving as neonatal editor has been a privilege and honor for me, and I remain grateful to Dr Diane Angelini and Wolters Kluwer for offering me the opportunity and support. Perinatal and neonatal care has only gained in recognized importance for its contributions to lifelong health. The vision to focus on this continuum has set JPNN apart from other scholarly journals. This focus will only grow in relevance as care continuity, epigenetics, precision medicine, and personalized healthcare headline the next phase of healthcare transformation. I look forward to JPNN's continued success as a lead journal.

Warm regards,
