The International Council of Nurses invites the world to their Congress in Singapore, June 27 to July 1, 2019. This represents a great opportunity for Nurses Christian Fellowship International (NCFI) to represent Christian nursing in the global arena in a significant way.

NCFI plans to have a display booth at the Congress. An NCFI presence at ICN Congresses in the past has connected us with Christian nurses from around the world, who have been delighted and encouraged to know about NCFI and NCF member countries. To staff the NCFI booth, NCFI welcomes Christian nurses to work with them.

The main theme of the ICN Congress is Beyond Healthcare to Health, and NCFI invites Christian nurses to submit abstracts for papers and posters, presenting nursing research and practices from a Christian worldview and with Christian values.

NCFI will work in partnership with NCF Singapore, and a small task force is currently planning for different initiatives during the Congress. We invite nurses to support this strategic initiative in prayer, financial support, and, where possible, presence at the Congress.

For the fourth year in a row, JCN has been honored by the American Society of Healthcare Publication Editors (ASHPE). In fact, in the 2018 competition, JCN won top honors for three entries:

1. Gold Award in the Best Overall Use of Graphics Category (October/December 2017 complete issue)

2. Gold Award in the Best Cover, Photo Category: Faith and Ethics, Covenant and Code (October/December 2017)

3. Gold Award in the Best Opening Page/Spread, Photo Category: The Pad Project: A Global Initiative Uniting Women (January/March 2017).

The Best Overall Use of Graphics was a new category, so JCN is the first Gold award winner in that category.

The next NCFI World Congress, Opportunities and Challenges in Nursing Today: A Christ-Centered Response, will be held in Denver, Colorado, USA, at Colorado Christian University, July 13 to 17, 2020. Training courses will be held July 10-13. Save the dates!
