TELL US WHAT YOU THINK

As professionals, your input into this journal is valued. We want to hear about topics you think should be covered-with an added spiritual perspective.

What questions do you have about spiritual care in your area of nursing? The more we know about readers' concerns and professional needs, the better we can serve you. Write to us at mailto:[email protected].

Have you taken the Quick Poll on the JCN online page? That's a way to get a taste of an article in the current issue and read that article online. The Quick Poll is a handy way to connect other nurses to JCN. Suggest they submit their answer and check out a free sample article. Recent Quick Polls have touched on mindfulness and nurses' hurdles to successful teaching.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR CHRISTIAN NURSES AT ICN CONGRESS

The International Council of Nurses invites the world to their Congress in Singapore, June 27 to July 1, 2019. This represents a great opportunity for Nurses Christian Fellowship International (NCFI) to represent Christian nursing in the global arena in a significant way.

NCFI plans to have a display booth at the Congress. An NCFI presence at ICN Congresses in the past has connected us with Christian nurses from around the world, who have been delighted and encouraged to know about NCFI and NCF member countries. To staff the NCFI booth, NCFI welcomes Christian nurses to work with them.

The main theme of the ICN Congress is Beyond Healthcare to Health, and NCFI invites Christian nurses to submit abstracts for papers and posters, presenting nursing research and practices from a Christian worldview and with Christian values.

NCFI will work in partnership with NCF Singapore, and a small task force is currently planning for different initiatives during the Congress. We invite nurses to support this strategic initiative in prayer, financial support, and, where possible, presence at the Congress.

Contact NCFI at mailto:[email protected] and discover information about the congress at http://www.icn.ch/events/ICN-Congress-Singapore-June-2019/.

JCN BRINGS HOME THE GOLD

For the fourth year in a row, JCN has been honored by the American Society of Healthcare Publication Editors (ASHPE). In fact, in the 2018 competition, JCN won top honors for three entries:

2. Gold Award in the Best Cover, Photo Category: Faith and Ethics, Covenant and Code (October/December 2017)
