Abstract

The goal of congestive heart failure (CHF) treatment is to keep the patient as independent and functional as possible. Health care practitioners hope that partnering with patients to use the most up-to-date medications, tests, and treatments will increase patient satisfaction with treatment regimens and decrease the rate of hospital admissions for treatment. Nurse practitioners share a commitment to patients to keep costs at a minimum, while keeping patients as fully functional as possible.
