Abstract

Abstract: Thermal comfort helps patients maintain normothermia, decreases preoperative anxiety, and increases their sense of well-being. This article details an initiative to improve surgical patient satisfaction with thermal comfort using reflective blankets at a 115-bed major medical center and Level III trauma center in the Southwest US.
