Lancet Group publishes commitment to gender equity and diversity. Following a February themed issue of the Lancet on women in science, medicine, and global health, the Lancet Group (18 publications) announced a Diversity Pledge and a No All-Male Panel Policy. The Diversity Pledge is a commitment "to increasing diversity and inclusion in research and publishing, and in particular to increasing the representation of women and colleagues from low-income and middle-income countries among our editorial advisers, peer reviewers, and authors." According to the No All-Male Panel Policy, editors from Lancet Group publications "will not serve as panelists at a public conference or event when there are no women on the panel." Further, the journals of the Lancet Group will adjust their editorial advisory boards to include a minimum of 50% female members.
