Founded in 1978 as a historical methodology group, the American Association for the History of Nursing is open to everyone interested in the history of nursing. Its website offers historical information for students, nurses, researchers, and librarians; publications authored by members; and details about special events. In addition, society members this year will have access to "Talking History 2021," a monthly virtual event that will comprise five presentations grouped by historical topic.

The AHNA's website helps connect nurses with their local AHNA chapter and offers a wide range of continuing nursing education opportunities (including an integrative healing arts program in holistic nursing), print and video resources, networking resources, and more.
