We have come to the end of 2021, and I remain in awe of the work that has been done, to continue to provide extraordinary care to the pediatric surgical patient and their families, by all of you! As a country, we continue to work our way through the COVID-19 pandemic, and as individuals, we continue to adjust to the many changes related to our home and work lives.

Through these changes and challenges, American Pediatric Nurses Association, Inc. remains committed to the growth and development of our members.

The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines a mentor as someone who teaches or gives help and advice to a less experienced and often younger person and a mentee as one who is being mentored.

Mentoring is a relationship that is both reciprocal and collaborative and is generally for the purpose of the growth, learning, and professional development of the mentee.

The APSNA Clinical Mentorship Program connects motivated, less-experienced APSNA members with more-experienced APSNA members who are leaders and experts in pediatric surgery. These mentors are willing to share their expertise to promote the professional career advancement, education, and personal development of others.

We welcome your participation in this program!

If you are a member of the organization and feel like you would benefit from having a mentor or you are interested in becoming a mentor, please take a look at our http://ClinicalMentorshipProgram and reach out to our Director of Practice and Quality Kimberly Reblock at mailto:info@apsna.org.

If you are not a member of the organization, please take a look at our website and see what we have to offer you and consider becoming a member. Please follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
