Abstract

As part of a clinical-academic partnership, graduate nursing students initiated evidence-based quality improvement projects in a large, metropolitan, 5-time Magnet(R)-designated pediatric hospital to encourage continuous innovation and evidence-based practice. This article describes the evolution and strategies used by leadership and staff to sustain the projects over time. Data collected by the organization report trended outcomes, highlight themes for success from graduate nursing students from 2017 through 2020, and report the implications for nurse executives.
