Student engagement is vital to classroom success and a goal for all nursing faculty. Implementing successful strategies to enhance student learning can be a daunting task. Nursing faculty have created a platform for sharing ideas. This platform is a collaboration between traditional and accelerated undergraduate nursing faculty. "Coffee and Conversation" is a method for faculty to discuss strategies to improve student engagement. Nursing faculty utilizing a systems-based nursing paradigm and those implementing a conceptual approach can openly discuss ideas and brainstorm methods to improve student engagement. This collaboration of ideas and discussion was valuable for a myriad of reasons. Faculty from different campuses and programs were able to share ideas and network. Faculty from different programs were able to discuss similarities and differences in student needs. Experienced faculty were given the opportunity to share successes in the classroom with novice educators. Following the discussion, a shared folder was created for faculty to post lesson plans and materials. This housing site has grown into a bustling wealth of resources for nurse educators using both paradigms. If the amount of faculty engagement is any indication of future student engagement, "Coffee and Conversation" is a huge success.
