NCPD TEST QUESTIONS

LEARNING OUTCOME: Seventy-five percent of participants will demonstrate knowledge of a study evaluating total knee and hip arthroplasty patients' journey through a new destination center of excellence (DCOE) program, reviewing acute perioperative course trajectories, and reporting clinical outcomes by achieving a minimum score of 70% on the outcomes-based posttest.

 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES: After completing this continuing professional development activity, the participant will apply knowledge gained to:

 

1. Choose the essential elements of the planning phase of the new DCOE program for total knee and hip arthroplasty patients.

 

2. Select the results of the evaluation of the efficacy of the new DCOE program.

 

3. Identify the authors' conclusions after reviewing the data they collected for their evaluation of the program.

 

 

1. The developers of the DCOE program decided that, if concerns should arise during a patient's postoperative period after discharge, the primary means of addressing the situation would be by

 

a. scheduling a telemedicine visit with the surgical team.

 

b. transporting the patient back to the joint arthroplasty center.

 

c. arranging an in-person visit with a local home health agency.
