Early identification of students at risk of failing the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses allows nurse educators and students the opportunity to develop a remediation plan. The author describes one program's systematic review and exploration of the predictive ability of standardized examinations, nursing course theory grades, and entrance criteria for identifying students at risk.
