Abstract
Infection control is pivotal to good nursing care. This column is dedicated to new developments in infection control that affect home healthcare nursing. In this issue, we examine the outbreak of mumps that began in the Midwestern states resulting in new mumps immunization guidelines for all healthcare providers.
