I am pleased to announce that Advances in Skin & Wound Care has joined a very elite group of publishers: The journal will be 1 of 3 Supporting Publishers for the Third Congress of the World Union of Wound Healing Societies, to be held in June 2008 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and the only Supporting Publisher based in the United States.

A key part of the journal's mission going forward will be providing as much support for the international wound care community as we possibly can. The editorial leadership team feels a strong responsibility to educate practitioners in developing countries through dissemination of cutting-edge original research, practical clinical management articles, and updates on best practices that can be adapted to local social, economic, and health conditions. We are committed to linking practitioners in developed countries with those in developing countries to further the dialog that will erase the boundaries between us and begin to improve patient outcomes worldwide.

In recognition of our outreach to the international wound care community, we have changed our journal tagline. Advances in Skin & Wound Care is now The International Journal for Prevention and Healing.

As always, we welcome and encourage your feedback. Please write to Kathleen Greer, Managing Editor, at [email protected].
