Benchmarking is the buzz word across the nation. Last year, at the University e-SIG meeting, we presented an overview of the definition and purpose of benchmarking. The 2007 session will bring benchmarking efforts closer to home as we review the survey results completed by university endoscopy units across the nation. We will review and compare departmental issues such as staffing, procedure times/room turn around times, cost per case, and much more. Come and join us for this review and see where your institution fits in.
