Hattie Larlham launched a new online store in May 2007 as part of its ongoing expansion of services designed to create employment opportunities for people with disabilities. The Web site, http://www.hattiescafe.org, sells specialty coffee, spa, and student gift baskets found at Hattie's Cafe, Fountain and Gifts, a Hudson store that employs people with disabilities. "Each basket is assembled by people with disabilities," said online sales manager Lauri Molnar. "And the cafe workers really enjoy showing off their creative side by putting the baskets together, designing the bows and helping to put together the displays." Baskets featuring products from Cleveland's Little Italy and other local areas are also offered through the online shop. In the coming months, the site will expand to include gift baskets for corporations and businesses.
